Parish domain name - ordering documents

Does your local council wish to take advantage of creating their own ‘.org.uk’ website name and be able to have emails to that address? Such as www.myparish.org.uk and clerk@myparish.org.uk.
Having your own domain names makes it easier for people to find your site and gives you a professional looking email address.

Once your parish council/meeting has approved the low cost of £40 + Vat for a two year period, you simply need to complete the attached order form.

Browsealoud

Browsealoud reads web pages aloud for people who find it difficult to read online. It makes using the Internet easier for people who have: Low literacy and reading skills; English as a second language; Dyslexia or Mild visual impairments.

New Model Publication Scheme

As you may be aware, all parishes have to adopt the New Model Publication Sceheme ready for its implementation on 1 January 2009. We have produced a web template (several pages) of the publication scheme. We will populate these pages to your site. They will appear hidden. You are free to use, amend and adapt these pages to the circumstances of your own parish. You will be able to add in information on the relevant page or put in a link to where that information already exists on your site. Browse this template of pages and get back to admin@leicestershireparishcouncils.org with any questions.

The template is offered freely. It is up to you whether you choose to use or ignore it.
